What a breathtaking review of a recent show by The xx. I’m glad that this trio is touring and making new music, as the band’s debut record continues to amaze me.
And I attempt to scoop up nearly every possible Jamie xx DJ set that I can locate on the interwebs. More than anyone else, he encourages me set aside my aspirations to be in a “rock band” and to synthesize my jack-of-all-trades musical ability into curating sound through various keyboards, processors, and MPC’s.
